Is there any way of getting this film played at dragon con or the creators as guests?

I just saw it yesterday after hearing about it for months and it is the best film I have seen in 2009.

Browncoats Unite!

Joel Hodgson (the founder/original star of MST3k) appeared at Dragon*con with his newly created "Cinematic Titanic" crew back in 2008 (I think it was 2008, or was it 2007?). Anyway, he just did a recent interview where he proclaims Dragon*con his favorite convention, calling it more "pure" than SDCC. ;)

Since It's been almost two months since I posted the group originally, and we still have people requesting to join at the topic pages back, I thought I'd repost it for the new year.



Inspired by a group my friends did at Otakon, i've decided to see if people would be interested in doing a "Gaggle of Gagas" group at D*C. Everyone would be doing a different Lady Gaga outfit (since she has so many!) and we'd meet-up for a photogathering.

So, this year will be only my second time going to Dragon*con. I went two years ago. This year, am planning on going as Kahlan Amnell this year. I would really like to go as her from Episode 1x22, but I haven't been able to find any choker that remotely resembles a rada'han. Has anyone ever seen one and know where I could get one?

If I end up going as her in her regular costume, where is the best place to get cheep fake knives or daggers?

I was wondering if anyone knows who those photographer guys where who where standing outside of the Marriott (you know the outside area at the cross walk) taking pictures this past Dragon*Con . Where they official D*C guys or some other photographer guys? If it is the second does anyone know their website?

While I know most hardcore American fans of Doctor Who have already figured out a way to watch Dr. Who David Tennant’s farewell in the End of Time Part 2 – it may be worth tuning into BBC America tonight to watch it again.

According to my sources, David Tennant has a special 5 minute goodbye message slated to air right after the special finishes made just for American fans of the classic British TV show.

Not only that – if you’re lucky enough to get BBC America in HD – Doctor Who will be broadcast in HD as well.

Doctor Who: The End of Time Part 2 airs tonight at 8:30 EST/7:30 CST on BBC America.

So at the con we saw a vendor selling these neat heavy metal tankards with leather decorations on them, along with a good amount of other leathery-type stuff. My friend thinks it was Griffin Works, but unfortunately their site is totally down. I'd like to get one of their mugs for a late xmas present for a friend -- is this the right vendor and if so, does anybody know a contact email and/or when their site will be back up?

I was on the Dragon Con website today ordering tickets (memberships) for my fiance and myself when I ran into a question.

By the time the con happens next year, my fiance will be my husband, and we'll be living together in a new house. We're 95% sure where we'll be, but stuff happens, you know? What address do we need to give them for our badges? Our current addresses or our future address?

Also, is it smarter to ship the tickets to some place like my mother's, where we know she'll be, or do they send them instantly and it would be okay to ship them to our current address now?
